2007-08 APPLETON BOYCHOIR CONCERT SEASON

About the Appleton Boychoir

The Appleton Boychoir is organized into five choirs: Repertoire Choir, Junior Choir, Senior Choir, Concert Choir and Ambassador Choir.

Membership is by audition, which occurs in the fall for boys who are already 8 years old; and in May for boys who will be 8 years old by the following Christmas. Private auditions may also be arranged.

A boy will start in the Repertoire Choir and progress through the Junior, Senior, Concert and Ambassador Choirs as his training progresses. A boy remains in the program through the end of his eighth grade year or until his voice changes - whichever comes first. He is then formally graduated and becomes an honored alumnus.

The Mastersingers, a choir of adult men (some of whom are Appleton Boychoir graduates), was introduced in March of 1993.  They perform with the Boychoir at selected concerts.

Choirs rehearse from September through April and the Senior, Concert, and Ambassador Choir boys spend four days in August at Camp Friedenswald in Southern Michigan.
